Water Project Guided Meditation Samples

Give yourself permission to be like water.

Guided Meditation Sample 1 was filmed at Virginia Key in Miami in December 2019. Virginia Key was a segregated beach opened in 1945 “for the exclusive use of Negroes.”

Guided Meditation Sample 2 was filmed at Atlantic City, NJ, (Absecon Inlet) in May 2021. The artist’s family has vacationed in Atlantic City since the 1940s. As a young woman, Ms. Ivey Alexander and her grandmother had a tradition of visiting Wild West Casino, which overlooks “Chicken Bone Beach,” formerly Atlantic City’s segregated beach.
